This week has brought a lot of rain on and off as spotty storms have popped up all over the area. The unstable atmosphere and scattered storms make for some very interesting cloud formations, and some unique sunsets.
These pictures were taken throughout the afternoon and up to sunset on Monday, June 19th 2017 in central Michigan.
Update: More storms have continued to roll through the area this past week, including a long Tuesday night of non stop storms dropping, in some spots, over 8″ of rain. These storms have caused major flooding in this part of the state. Homes and businesses filled with water and sludge, roads washed out, crops destroyed… general mayhem. Luckily no one lost their life, but property damage is likely to be high. Nature’s fury can bring a beautiful sunset and then, in the same breath, wipe out everything. My prayers go out to all of those who were affected by this flooding.
